Apr. 22nd, 2017 07:42 pm ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: A muscly weirdo with blades coming out of his hands. He's got the scowly face, intense muttonchops, and silly pointy hair in common with comics!Wolverine, but he's taller and way less hairy. (In fairness, it's hard to compete with this.) Oh, and the claws. He obviously has the claws, and as far as he knows, they're pure adamantium. ♚ FASHION: He wears few enough outfits in the movies that I can actually just link you to a ranked list of his sartorial choices. In general: wifebeaters, flannel, denim, scruffy-looking shit, layers. I like to imagine that the time in the first film when he's wearing like four different shirts/jackets is partly because winter's cold and partly because winter's especially cold when all your bones are coated in fucking metal. He's got a dog tag on a chain as well, but depending on when he's from, they're living with Rogue for safekeeping. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Logan's the kind of guy who's most comfortable in dive bars and greasy spoons at 3 AM. Picturesque boarding schools outside New York City don't come quite as easily to him. He can be confident or cocky, depending on how defensive he's feeling, and when he moves, it's often in sharp gestures and jabs. If he's just healed from a fight, you'll probably get to listen to his neck crack. ♚ SOUND: Logan is Canadian and has a very general accent. His voice is on the gruff side, and he tends not to waste words. ♚ SCENT: Like sweat, cigar smoke, and beer, for the most part. Blood if he's been in a real fight. Aftershave and cologne aren't high on his to-do list. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Logan doesn't have any mental shields or particular psychic defenses. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Logan is not magic, just a mutant. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Backtagging is fine, but in general, I prefer not to keep game threads going for months and months. (Memes and PSLs, that's just how it goes sometimes.) I'll always get in touch with you to discuss details if I need to handwave something that hasn't happened yet for another thread. ♚ THREADJACKING: Fine with me. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I don't mind it in narration. In dialogue, if someone's like "shit, I know who you are, you're really famous," I'd prefer you give me a heads-up beforehand. I'd like to skip "also, did you know you're fictional," please. ♚ TELEPATHY/MIND-READING: Sure, just give me a heads-up so we can talk about what your character would get out of it / I can include shit in my tags for you. NB: Logan is an amnesiac, and huge swaths of his memory are just plain gone. Your character won't get anything before the flashes of experimentation at Alkali Lake. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Logan can take a bit to warm up to people, but he can be lowkey physically affectionate once he has. And Lord knows I don't mind making him uncomfortable if you don't. If you aren't sure about something, drop me a line and I can give you an idea of how he'd react. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Comes along with playing Wolverine, and I'm happy to play it out. I prefer to avoid writing extreme violence and gore (in-depth descriptions of torture and stuff like that), so if we can skim over the details, I'd appreciate it. ♚ CANONPOINT: I'm most interested in playing him from around X-Men and X2. If you'd like to do something from other time periods, please reach out to me, and I'll let you know if I can accommodate it! (Generally speaking, the less a given X-Men movie has to do with the original cast, the less familiar I am with it.) As far as comics go, I'm more than happy to mash things up, but my familiarity with the comics is pretty minimal, and my Logan's primarily movie-based. If you don't mind having patience with me, I'd love to play with you. ☄ ABILITIES BULLSHIT ♚ OVERVIEW: Logan's a mutant--he has genetically based superpowers that manifested under great stress when he was a kid. He no longer remembers life before his mutation. ♚ THE DEETS: ♔ Three retractable claws in each hand ♔ Adamantium-coated bones ♔ Enhanced speed, strength, agility, and endurance ♔ Enhanced senses--especially smell, but all of them are stronger than average ♔ An extremely effective healing factor--wounds on him can disappear in seconds ♔ Effectively ageless/immortal as a result, with a few exceptions (drowning, decapitation, &cet.) ☄ SHIP/GEN CR BULLSHIT ♚ SEXUALITY: For my purposes, straight. ♚ YES, PLEASE: Rogue, revised timeline!Jean, Melita Garner ♚ LET'S TALK: Original timeline!Jean, cross-canon ships (I love them as a rule, but whether one will work is a case-by-case thing) ♚ NO, THANK YOU: Storm, Mystique ♚ GEN CR: Especially interested in characters from the original cast of X-Men and X2, Laura, Evo iterations of characters, Quicksilver ca. Days of Future Past, DC characters, other cross-canon CR. I am not particularly familiar with the MCU or other Marvel comics properties. |
